Interfibio (URV)

The Interfibio group of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) located in Tarragona coordinates the project.

Interfibio is a "consolidated research group" recognized for its excellence by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The team combines a long experience in bioelectrochemistry and physical chemistry, molecular biology and nanotechnology / materials science. Its research focuses on the exploitation of advances in the confluence of biotechnology, micro and nanotechnologies to create intelligent, low-cost non-invasive diagnostic systems that can be applied to clinical, environmental and food analysis.

Irta 

IRTA, located at Sant Carles de la Ràpita, has a privileged location near the seafood fishing areas. IRTA is responsible for carrying out the "Monitoring Water quality program in the seafood fishing areas of Catalonia "since 1999 and, consequently, is in close contact with the production and administration sector.

IRTA has also begun to carry out marine phytoplankton analyzes of the Valencian Coast. In addition, IRTA also has aquaculture research facilities, both inside and outside.
